J’MAX Hair & Nail Club Corporate Generosity to Kingston Basic Schools

The University of the West Indies’ Reach Up and Learn early childhood parenting program is being administered by the Phillip and Christine Gore Family Foundation in six (6) of the Foundation’s Basic Schools namely Arnold Road Methodist Basic School, Chetolah Park Infant School, Gospel Refuge Basic School, Sandy Park Basic School, St. Anne’s Infant School and Vouch Sylvia Foote Basic School.

Whilst parental participation has been a challenge for these hardworking parents every effort has been made by the Foundation’s innovative IT Playmates to deliver this important guidance to all parents in these schools. Most notably the use of WhatsApp groups and videos has become a common and effective means of communicating with these busy parents.

Recently leading Kingston hair stylist Wayne Maxwell of J’Max Hair and Nail Club located at the Lee Gore Business Centre displayed noteworthy corporate generosity by donating gift certificates worth $6,000 each to four (4) parents who overcame all the obstacles placed in their path and attended over 90% of all training session for the current school year.

Parents from Chetolah Park Infant School Tasha Reid, Tashauma Williams, Dana Foster and Rhotecia Harris attended J’MAX Hair and Nail Club to receive certificates from Wayne Maxwell whilst Natalee Robertson of Gore Family Foundation looks on.
