Mico Scholarship Program Hailed by Gore Family Foundation

One the occasion of a donor appreciation reception held by the Mico University College, the Phillip and Christine Gore Family Foundation was honoured for its continued provision of the James F Gore Memorial Schloaship and the Clarice May Gore Memorial Scholarship.
The Foundation’s Christine Gore addressed the gathering on the personal significance of the Scholarships to her. “When I was in University news of the demise of our education system began to reach me and I did nothing. By the time I started working that news was headlined after each Common Entrance Exam Results was published and I did nothing. And as news worsened I consistently did nothing about it. The Mico Scholarship Program has given me the opportunity to at last do something meaningful to address a fundamental issue in the development of my beloved Jamaica and I appreciate this much more than you know.”

Mrs. Gore also presented Dr. Pinnock with three copies of a book entitled Legacy, The Levien Gore Family A Jamaican Story.

Christine Gore on behalf of the Gore Family Foundation presented Mrs. Sharon Wolfe director of alumni services with a book entitled A Little Legacy published by Phillip and Christine Gore for their grandchildren.
