Damar, a past student of Ferncourt High School in St. Ann, Jamaica, participated in TSF’s tennis programme which enabled him to attend William Allen High School in Pennsylvania and Fort Lauderdale Preparatory School in Florida. Assisted by the TSF, he went on to gain a tennis-based scholarship to the University of Louisville in Kentucky. At this institution, he was ranked 5th in the USA’s NCAA Division One Doubles. In 2006 he received the Conference Sportsmanship Award.
