The Gore Family Foundation (GFF) was delighted to find a cache of Play & Stay tennis equipment hidden away in storage.

The pristine, lightweight racquets and big, colourful balls are the tools coaches need to teach Play & Stay tennis at basic schools and on which enthusiastic, young tennis players love to learn.

Former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama, in the course of promoting tennis as a lifelong sport that can teach children the value of hard work and keep adults exercising into old age, has said she forced her two daughters to play tennis because of its many virtues.

Obama praised the United States Tennis Association for partnering with her ‘ Let’s Move’ 10 and under children’s health campaign, stating to American youngsters with respect to tennis: “You’re going to learn things like hard work, teamwork, discipline”.

The GFF said it agrees wholeheartedly and is undertaking the same tennis programme to local basic schools, under the auspices of the International Tennis Federation.
